At the second level, there is the studio room with full-length mirror ideal for classes and practices of dances, yoga, tai chi, etc. There are a few mahjong rooms. There are also three squash courts, one of which is converted to a table tennis room, with viewing balcony at the second level.

The landscape is very well thought about with beautiful and colourful flowers and scrubs. There is a jogging or walking path encompassing the gardens. The landscape also comes with koi ponds, with several koi swimming leisurely and very soothing just to gaze at them. The lawns are large, well kept and simply beautiful. It is common to see residents sitting at the benches, children playing ‘catching’. There is also an outdoor exercise area. During the evening, it is simply a joy just to sit down on the bench, stare at the sky and just enjoy the breeze.

There is Thai Pan Restaurant that provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. Of late, they have create a out-door space overlooking the swimming pool to cater to beer lovers. The quality of food is rather good and it is famous for butter crab, butter squid, Jing Du Pork Chop, Olive Fried Rich, Yam Basket with Seafood and Jade tofu with Crab Meat. Diners have the option of dining in air-conditioned environment or alfresco and a great place for family gatherings and corporate functions. Some residents would call in to the restaurant to order and collect when the food is ready. A relatively large supermarket is at the other block and getting fresh food is not an issue.

There are many car park lots at Mandarin Gardens. There is basement car park and covered outdoor car parks for the residents and outdoor car parks for visitors. Each unit would have an assigned car park lot so it is easy to find your vehicles. There are washing points around for manual car wash and space per car is fairly large.
